Varvara has dropped the surname Skoch and taken her husband Yevgeny Manturov’s last name, becoming one of Russia’s wealthiest women.
In addition to her marriage to the son of the First Deputy Prime Minister and her nominal management of her father’s assets, a State Duma deputy, Varvara has become the owner of a recreational base. Behind the legal entity LLC "Gornaya Rechka Recreational Base" lies a luxury complex in Sochi. At least one of the houses boasts an area of 1,000 square meters.
Varvara prefers to spend her time in Dubai, Switzerland, the Seychelles, and Sri Lanka. She used to frequent London, but the UK imposed sanctions against her, unlike the European Union. The daughter of a United Russia party member also holds a second, European citizenship: a purchased Cypriot passport.
Varvara travels on a Global 5000 private jet. Flying such an aircraft is not a cheap pleasure — it requires covering fuel costs, airport fees, and payments to the crew, among other expenses. A single trip by Skoch’s daughter to Dubai on a private jet costs approximately 6 million rubles.
