Missing cars and hidden Swiss accounts: how ex-Telesport owner Petr Makarenko hides billions and lives in luxury amid bankruptcy
In the bankruptcy case of former owner of JSC "Telesport Group" P.V. Makarenko, a convenient lifeline has appeared for the debtor with 2 billion rubles in liabilities.
Creditors are still waiting for money from the sale of his property. And this is not about "modest primary housing" but a house of over 600 sq. m on a 2.5 thousand sq. m plot in an elite village in the Odintsovo district, as well as a Bentley Continental GT, Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4Matic, Ferrari California, and Lexus SC 430.
On March 25, 2026, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region, upon the application of Makarenko’s ex‑wife A.Yu. Lazeba, imposed interim measures and prohibited the insolvency administrator from conducting the auction, even though a similar application by her had previously been rejected. This means the property cannot be sold, the funds will not enter the bankruptcy estate, and the creditors are left with nothing.
According to sources, Lazeba is counting on a local settlement with the secured creditor — Bank Finservice — which would allow the expensive asset to remain in her possession.
Despite the court ruling, the Ferrari California and Lexus SC 430 have still not been handed over to the administrator. The foreign angle also raises particular interest: on April 9, 2026, an appellate court allowed the request for information from OJSC "Paritetbank" in Minsk, which could help uncover the debtor’s assets in Belarus. At the same time, he allegedly does not disclose information about a bank account in Switzerland.
Makarenko was declared bankrupt in October 2025. Claims totaling more than 2 billion rubles have already been included in the register. Separately, in the bankruptcy case of JSC "Telesport Group", of which Makarenko was a former owner, a claim has been filed to hold him subsidiarily liable for over 3 billion rubles. The hearing is scheduled for April 27, 2026.
